Today is rainy, would rather have snow. since we had freezing rain overnite, Matt fell while going out to take care of the animals, now mud is everywhere, yuk. I guess it's a way of like on the farm, need a pr. of good boots and warm clothes. The animals are in side today, don't blame them, I'd rather stay in today also. Paying bills right now, then I really need to run to the store.

Hi haven't been here for awhile, our "little" farm is growing, we have added goats also. We hope in the near future to move to a bigger piece of land and have a couple of milking cows as well as beef cattle. This spring we will be buying more chicks. 1 of our 'older" hens has had baby chicks again, as soon as they are old enough they will be put into the freezer, yum.

chickens, we many varieties of chickens on our small farm, they can be quit entertaining at times. My favorite is "Skittles" who is a polish top hat chicken, he "bobs" his head as he walks , looks like he has a mop on his head.. We sell eggs, which are so good.. We have also butchered our chickens, this is usually done by my 15 yr. old son and myself, I thought there was no way that I could do this, but it really isn't too bad..
